Simone Plourde, a junior at Utah, finished fifth in the Pac-12 women's championship race at the Ag-Ops course in Riverside, Calif. Plourde covered the 6-kilometer layout in 19:29.7, helping the Utes match Colorado with 66 points, but the Buffaloes prevailed on a head-to-head tiebreaker to result in Utah placing runner-up for the second year in a row. Plourde improved from an 11th-place finish last year to give Utah five scorers in the top 25.
